The Lake Sunapee Wine Society was founded in 1999 by a small group interested in trying new wines, socializing with friends, and meeting new people. A core organizational goal was wine education. Events varied from pot-lucks at the Wilmot Community Center to dinners at Lake Sunapee Country Club.
We have transitioned to three events each year, ranging from hors d’oeuvres to dinner, and continue the mission of wine education. Our members enjoy dining at different venues in surrounding towns, and tasting wines from all over the world presented by knowledgeable and engaging wine experts. With some exceptions, we select wines that are locally available. We are always looking for new ideas and welcome your suggestions!
